KanbanClaw ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our task management service at kanbanclaw.sbs ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
- User Content: Boards, cards, comments, checklists, attachments, and any other content you create within the Service.
- Billing information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card details directly.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within the Service.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails such as daily digest summaries (which you can opt into or out of).
- Power AI features — your task data may be sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate suggestions and perform actions. This data is not used to train AI models.
- Improve, personalize, and develop new features for the Service.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Resend (email), and OpenAI (AI features). These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their functions.
- Board collaborators: When you share a board, other members can see your name, avatar, and the content you contribute to that board.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KanbanClaw or others.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. AI & Data Processing
When you use the AI assistant, relevant task and board data is sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We send only the minimum data necessary for the request. OpenAI's API data usage policy applies to this processing. Your data sent via the API is not used by OpenAI to train their models.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention). Backup copies may persist for a limited additional period.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via OAuth 2.0, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data (right to erasure).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of non-essential communications (e.g., digest emails).

8. Children's Privacy
KanbanClaw is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States (where our service providers operate). By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and, where applicable, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
